Martin joined the players in 2010. Since then he appeared in The Business of Murder, Seasons Greetings, The Crucible, Les Miserables, Witness for the Prosecution, Dracula, Dangerous Corner, Holiday Island, Cards on the Table, Cider with Rosie, The Titfield Thunderbolt and The Railway Children.
With Claire Milner he has directed The Ladykillers, The Old People are Revolting, Fallen Angels and Hay Fever. His most recent appearance with us was in The Hound of the Baskervilles
Claire jumped into SJP with both feet, both directing and stage manging her first production, Seasons Greetings. She also is very experienced on the production side, both sourcing and making props — such as a cake, a turkey, and a set of puppets for a hilarious production of three little pigs.
She has stage banaged in festivals (My Way, Last Tango in Little Grimley) and assisted on our productions in the round such as The Railway Children as well as on stage including Cards on the Table and Holiday Island. Her directing credits include The Ladykillers and — her most recent production — Easy Virtue
David's first appearance for us was in 2003, in The Pictures of Dorian Gray.
Since then, he has appeared in many of our productions and as a director he has under his belt The Norman Conquest trilogy, Last Tango in Little Grimley and, as a co-director with Barbara Oxley, No Time For Fig Leaves, Garden and Cards on the Table.
Graham was practically born into SJP, his mother being the founder of the group in 1947. His father joined in 1956, met his mother and the rest, as they say, is history.
The first SJP play he saw was Waltz of the Toreadors in 1964 and he began his role supporting each production with Major Barbara in 1977. He is the magic behind the set, bringing us light in otherwise dark places.
Kieron first appeared with us in Anyone for Breakfast? in 1999. He has since appeared in over forty productions since then. He has also directed The Lion in Winter, Translations, Time Was, The Ghost Train, The Haunting, The Deep Blue Sea, The Memory of Water, 1984, and Frankenstein. He also co-directed Katherine Howard and Cider with Rosie.
His most recent appearance as an actor was in Vicar of Dibley, with a cameo in Easy Virtue. He adapted Bram Stoker's novel for our October 2024 production of Dracula. His scripts are published by Lazybee and Silver Birchington.
Graeme is the newest member of the committee, joining in 2024. He has developed this new website as well as running the club's Facebook page.
Since joining St John's Players he’s appeared on stage in three productions, debuting as Laurence in Abigail’s Party. He has also helped out backstage with prompting and lighting. Graeme enjoys getting involved in the creative side too, helping to design and paint production posters and putting together promotional videos for shows
